Suitable for

Note: Can be applied to metal but be sure to wipe metal surface clean after applying as only a micro layer is needed to repel water and resist rust. If applied too liberally it takes up to 30 days to dry and can be tacky/sticky.

Directions

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean and dry.

Application

Apply into the grain using a cloth.

Wipe away excess and buff firmly.

Touch up any areas that appear dry.

Apply light coats.

For easier application and deeper penetration, thin with a suitable thinner. A 50/50 mix is a good starting point.

Apply 3–4 coats initially. Additional coats may be required depending on the porosity of the timber.

Allow 24–48 hours between coats.

Dry Time

May take up to 48 hours to dry if applied without thinner.

Allow up to 4 weeks for a full cure.

Maintenance

Reapply one coat every 6–12 months depending on wear.

No sanding is required—simply clean and reapply.

Safety

Drying oils can generate heat as they cure and may pose a combustion risk.

Using thinners can increase this risk.

Lay used rags flat or hang them to dry.

Do not leave oily rags scrunched or piled together.
